Samsung showcased the Galaxy Book3 Ultra at its Unpacked Event. The Galaxy Book Ultra is a high-end laptop. Here is what we know about the device.
OS:
The device ships with Windows 11, but probably can run Linux as well. Also, Windows 11 supports WSL (Windows Subsystem on Linux) which will allow you to get a terminal on the device.
Screen:
The laptop has a 16-inch (aspect ratio 16:10) screen. The screen has 400 nits of brightness and an adaptive 120 HZ screen. This means that the screen will refresh 48 times a second when something is static. If you are scrolling the screen will refresh 120 times a second. This is good for battery life. The screen is a 3K (2880 x 1800) screen. This means that it will be high definition and you will not see any pixels on the screen. The device is not touchscreen,
Chip/GPU:
The laptop has an Intel i7 OR i9 chip inside (13th gen). It also comes with, "NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4070 Laptop GPU / NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4050 Laptop GPU," per Samsung Newsroom. The device has 16 or 32 GB of RAM that (probably) cannot be expanded Per XDA developers.
StoragePorts:
The device has a storage capacity of 512 GB or 1 TB SSD. There is also a PCIe expansion slot. There is a Micro SD card slot and one USB A slot. There are 2 Thunderbolt 4 (USB C) ports and the device charges over USB-C. According to Samsung, the charger can charge Galaxy devices that have a USB C port!!
