1. Good software
Windows 11 is really snappy on this machine and the great window snaps and multitasking functionality shines on this machine as well as the Windows 11 touch features. It feels a lot like multitasking on a Samsung phone and is better in almost every way. I want to see a window transparency setting like on Samsung phones though to bring even better capabilities to the device.
2. Uninspiring Build Quality
The build quality on this device is ok. Coming from a metal laptop the plastic is more creaky than what I'm used to and the keys are also louder than my Samsung Galaxy Book. The power button on the keyboard is ok but it's too close to the delete button for me. Also, the magnets for the stylus are not strong enough to keep the pen from falling off in a backpack. The screen also collects lots of fingerprints. The build quality is not bad though and it should hold up well in transport.
3. Port Selection
GREAT JOB HP!!! 2 USB A ports, 2 USB C ports HDMI, full-size SD, and a headphone jack. I'd like to see ethernet on here but this is way more than you will see from most Windows laptops today and any modern MacBook. The laptop also charges over USB-C so the same cable that charges my PC can charge my phone and its case.
4. Webcam
Great 5MP webcam. As good as or slightly worse than my dedicated podcasting webcam. The quality is clear and mostly color-accurate. It is also Windows Hello compatible.
5. Biometrics
This device only has face unlock. No fingerprint unlock option. This is not good. Face unlock doesn't require 'action' from the user they just have to sit there and look at it. Also getting someone's face data remotely is easier than getting fingerprint data.
God bless and tech talk to you later!!!
