The Battke for Air Supremacy: Sky Warriors vs Metalstorm

Users of powerful phones may want to push them with some air superiority battles on their devices. I compared two air battle games, Sky Warriors and Metalstorm, on Android using my S24 Ultra in Samsung Gaming Mode.

Plane Flying into smoke.

Sky warriors has interesting 2nd level game mode. It allows you to shoot blooms and ships (that are also shooting at you). While the graphics look good to me as well. In this mode the landscape changes, depending on when you play, so you can play in the snow, or on a volcano, or on just dry terrain. This does affect gameplay as the snow and smoke can can make flying harder. However the terrain is not really Useful, it is not affected by the weapons. At 120 fps and graphics on high mode, everything looks fine to me, and I did not see many frame drops.

Speaking of weapons, you get missile launchers that are unlimited but on a timer, protection from missiles, a radar to see the ships and blimps on the horizon. Another nice thing is that when you get in range of a plane, the guns auto-fire on my settings.

In terms of controls you get an speed control and directional control via touch or gyroscope. The controls are fine but I find that the controls on Metalstorm rare easier ro graphics and locking than on Sky warriors.

Speaking of graphics in Metalstorm, they look the exact same to me on the Ultra settings, while it only goes up to 60fps. The play modes are a lot more fun in my opinion. You get to shoot other planes out of the air, but the controls make it easier to aim. You also get Missiles that can be fired at will but are limited to four at a time, although you can reload and gain health by hitting points in the game.

I wish there were other targets besides Planes, but the landscape, while unfortunately static, is more interesting than Sky Warriors' landscape, which can help shield you from bullets. Speaking of evading bullets, you get flares for evasion and speed controls that only work in short bursts, or you will run out of fuel.

In conclusion, I find Metalstorm better to play and has more interesting terrain and defensive methods. The haptics and controls when shooting are also really good. God bless and Tech Talk To You Later!!
