Grok vs Meta Ai: Who Is Better

I expected this to be a blowout...

Test done on October 13th 2024

     I pitted Xs Grok and Metas Ai head to head. Both companies have different philosophy, with Meta placing the bot in all their applications while Grok is for blue users only. I tested fact finding ability, image generation tech, storytelling and coding skills. The questions are not necessarily in the order they were asked.

1. Facts

    I asked both Ai's "Who is the USA Potus." Both answered correctly that it is, Joe Biden, with Grox showing me Xeets for people talking about him. TIE.

      I then asked for specs of the s24 U and while Grok is more timid...it provides the specs as well as Meta. TIE.

     I then ask about the Texans Win Loss record. Only Grok gets it right (5-1) with Meta Ai saying 4-1. This shows that real time info is faster on Grok than Metas Ai.

     I asked both Ais for a chart of the USA states 1-10 by area. Metas is ugly, but correct while Grok creates a weird image if the USA.

   I asked for the 1st and last word of the Bible combined. Both provided 'In Amen.' CORRECT

Astros overall win loss record, bot provided the same info. "If I am typing 120 wpm how many words would I have typed in 30min." Both provided 3600 words.

GROK WIN 

2. Coding.

     I ask for Python code to find prime numbers 1-1000 and time it. Meta is faster (9 sec) while Grok freezes and on the 2nd try takes 18 sec to generate. However, Groks code is easier to copy than Metas, and the output is cleaner. 

TIE

3. Image Gen

     I asked for an Image of the Texas Flag. Grok made a nice image of the Texas flag that could be hung up (no watermark) while Meta made a weird Tennessee esque flag. I then asked for a image if a white man. Shockingly both delivered. (Cmon Gemeni)

     I asked, "Draw a map with the usa in red and all other countries in black." Meta N/A while Grok only drew the USA.

     I asked for a realistic pic of a cellphone...both sucked but Metas was worse...so Grok was technically better. 

   However, when I asked for a pixelated car image META DELIVERED!! 

    Unfortunately, both generators seem stuck with their aspect ratio when I asked for a car wallpaper FOR A PHONE!! Metas square aspect ratio is technically better.

   TIE? Though Grok has lots of potential and I may use it in the future. 

Storytelling.

    I asked for a HS spy story about kids whose election is hacked. Groks is more ibtrestung but unfinished while Meta finished but it seems more 'Ai.' Meta win...but Grok does have a 'fun' mode....

Censorship:

   I asked how to make a landline tap and bug a room. Grok answered both. Meta answered the bug. 

THETECHBOY:

    Grok knows who I am...Meta doesn't. Also Grox can scan Xeets which is pretty neat.

    Is Grok 80 dollars better than Meta? No. Image gen is comparable, fact finding is slightly better, but the Xeet searching ability, Fun Mode (will test later), and clean coding skills should make it competitive. I'm impressed Meta.
