I don't "get" Internet culture.

As teens allegedly scroll through Insta, TikTok, Pinterest, and Reddit, follow their favorite Youtubers and Twitch streamers, they all have one thing in common: Internet culture.

You will hear how famous Instagrammers and TikTokers are caught in some scandal that the Twitchers react to, some new meme format that is popular on IG or TikTok, new and co-opted words that appear out of thin air that everyone seemingly knows about. Which begs the question...how???

How are memes created and instantly "go viral"? Where do they upload these objects? What are the source images?  Who are the millions of always online always scrolling people? You need to have a following to become popular, so to go viral is wild. Where do the new words and lingo come from? The TikTok songs? If TikTok is filled with infinite content, how is there a "culture" around a few people--people that just yap or  jump around? 👇👇

These people don't really add much value or discussion to society and society reciprocates by killing them with the dumbest scandals, reactions, 'controversies' and 'hate.' It is so surreal.

Is it really a culture surrounding this? It seems like trends and sayings just appear...but to trend, you must be trendy...how does one become trendy? For every 1 TikTok star, there are thousands of teens that have  similar experiences and appearances...what did one person do to go viral?

If you want somone that's trying to go viral tech out @theavaharper on IG 😉🤣

I just don't get Internet culture. God bless and Tech Talk To You Later!!!
