Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special review.
Google's Notebook LLM is a great tool. I
attempted to get ChatGPT and Claude to summarize and answer questions about the
esteemed SSALTW.blogspot.com series but the filesize was too big for Claude and ChatGPT's
answers were horrific. So, although some commentary was lost (Claude is really
good at finding to jokes in the series), I decided to employ NotebookLLM. It
was amazing.
I imported 67 pages of the SSALTW story into the software (later added, at the time of writing the most recent story, Operation Shadow. NotebookLLM handled this so well. It imported the document as was able to give very detailed cited responses and was right 95% of the time. However, there were some drawbacks, such as losing my original chats so I had to ask again and getting hung up on details.
1.
Accuracy: Accuracy is amazing. It only got
confused about the differences between the ’22 and ’23 elections. (Energizer vs
Glory). However, it is able to give the definition of GCAM (though it called
them the Glory Christian AMalGalation…smart but that was never referenced. UPDATE: SSALTW did call GCAM the GCA AMalGalation!! NOtebook LLM was right. It
also cites the sources and can tell me the names (Geneva, Clarissa, Ava, Amala.
Maria)
2.
Its research is very in-depth as well. When
asked the question ‘Does Ethan like Allison’ which is not explicitly discussed
in the document, it cites sources showing Ethan's views on her which is accurate.
It correctly cites that Ethan views her as the POGUS, and correctly suggests a
political relationship between the 2.
a.
When asked for the backstory of Ethan Shay it correctly
tracks the the backstory from 2014 to the ‘present time’ even noting 7th
grade as a ‘turning point’ which is a nice touch as that has not been covered
yet. It did forget to mention Liberty and Nikka doctrine though which is a
vital element of the story.
b.
When asking about Ethan and SSA's Stance Towards
Val it correctly identifies and cites that they are frival powers and that they
are ‘aware of her volatile nature’ Which is accurate.
c.
In conclusion this tech is amazing and has even
helped me find inaccuracies in the writing. It can explain the complex
relationships between GCAM and SSA, kinda explain the ’22 and ’23 elections and
it can identify key policies of the Allison administration, Molly's threats,
and SSA policy.
d. Unfortunately, though it is online, it is air-gapped to the outside world so It doesn't understand the hidden references embedded in quotes/stories such as ‘"Yes, and, as we are working on things, many things, we will work together, and continue to work together, to address these issues...and to work together as we continue to work." "What..." "Sorry, that was CNN, not GNN."’-Thanks Claude
Or ‘Nov 9th
2022.’ Or when Ethan Shay says ‘The Most Deadliest Day’ in a conversation (the
grammar was intentional by the way.)
This tech is very beneficial for people taking notes, teen spies, or students. 10 out of 10 recommend.
