How To Make Free Pie Charts

TheTechBoy, April 7, 2025

Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special article.

Free Pie Chart Maker

Sometimes, the best way to prove your point or illustrate data is visually, and for that, a chart can be incredibly effective. If you specifically need a pie chart but want to avoid the potential complexities of programs like Excel or Google Sheets, or perhaps you don’t want to rely on a web application, there’s a simple, free solution you might consider.

It’s called ‘Free Pie Graph Maker’ (yes, a very creative name, I know!). While you’ll notice its interface looks quite dated, the software is still functional for its core purpose.

Here’s how it generally works:

  1. Data Entry: You’ll typically find around 12 rows for your data. Input your numerical values (the size of each slice) into the column often labeled ‘Y’ axis or similar. Then, enter the corresponding text labels for each slice into the ‘Description’ column.
  2. Limitations: Be aware that you usually get a fixed set of about 12 colors for the slices, and unfortunately, you cannot change these preset colors.
  3. Generation: Once your data is in, click the button or option to generate the pie chart. It should then appear, often displayed in fullscreen.
  4. Saving: To save your chart, look for a ‘Print’ button. You can use this to print directly or, more commonly, use your system’s “Print to PDF” function to save a digital copy.

So, while it lacks modern features and customization options, ‘Free Pie Graph Maker’ serves as a straightforward, no-cost tool for creating basic pie charts quickly offline.
