How To Create App Folders In Windows 11

TheTechBoy, May 31, 2023

Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a tech tip

I learned a new tip today and I would like to share it with you. In Windows 11 you can now group applications in folders just like you can on mobile devices. Let me show you how.
1. Click The Windows Button

The windows button will bring up the application drawer. This will show you your applications. Do not go to the ‘More’ or the ‘All Apps’ tab but just the pinned applications.

2. Drag Your App
Drag your app to another app that you want to create a folder. If you want to create a folder with 3 or more applications you can drag that application into the folder.  To rename a folder click the folder and there is a bar t the top that will let you type in a folder name.
This only works for pinned applications. If you want to have more pinned applications go to settings and search for the start menu to add more space for pinned applications. To pin an application go to ‘All Apps’ and 2 finger-tap an app to click the pin this app button.
God Bless and Tech Talk To You Later!!
