ChatGPT has a weird bug in its Incognito mode.

TheTechBoy, August 6, 2025

Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a quick tech update!

ChatGPT has a weird bug in its Incognito mode. Incognito mode is activated by tapping the chat icon in the upper right corner. This feature ensures that your chats are not saved to your account or used to train ChatGPT’s models. However, it’s worth noting that chats can still be saved in OpenAI’s internal logs, so it’s not truly private.

Now here’s the strange part: when using the ChatGPT app on Android—specifically with the Samsung Keyboard—there’s a noticeable glitch in Incognito mode. The keyboard becomes very laggy, and the haptics start acting up. Oddly enough, this issue doesn’t seem to occur in regular (non-incognito) mode. It also doesn’t happen as much when using other keyboards.

So… what’s going on? Why is Incognito mode causing this strange behavior? Is it a bug in the app? A compatibility issue with Samsung’s keyboard? Either way, it’s something worth investigating further. Let me know if you’ve noticed this too.

God bless, and Tech Talk To You Later!!
