I’m Disappointed In You Samsung

Another day, another Samsung launch, another disappointment. It’s been 6 years since Samsung released the S20 Ultra, and yet their flagship phone in the big ’26 has the same capacity battery as the phone that released when I was in 8th grade, in the pre-COVID era, launching little rockets against my rivals. Now, a trend could be given here where we discuss how the applications (Instagram, Snapchat, and browsers) have remained almost unchanged, yet the processing power is the same, but we have more articles about that.

The S26 Ultra is thinner and lighter than last year’s model, but it achieves that because they went back to aluminum after 2 years of titanium, which is pretty sad. My phone has taken a pretty good beating and is still holding up, so I’m not sure about that design change. The other key changes are 60-watt charging and the new privacy display, which are both really cool. Finally, you can charge your phone to 75% in 30 minutes, which is really useful, but I wish it had a bigger battery. It’s been 6 years of bringing Outlook, and there is no way on planet Earth it will be able to outlast the OnePlus 15, which, per Mr. Mobile, lasted 2.5 days!!!

The privacy display is the new thing that everyone is talking about, and it looks like it works, but with a caveat that viewing angles are worse off per some reviewers. I haven’t seen it in person, so I can’t definitively say if it’s a) happening, and b) noticeable. I rarely, if ever, use my phone as a communal TV, so even if the angles are slightly worse, being able to check a text or email in public without it leaking would be good. Remember Stephen A. Smith playing solitaire at the NBA game. That would be a boon for him. In any case. Is a small upgrade but I wish it had a bigger battery. God Bless, Tech Talk To You Later!!!
