Samsung Retains No. 1 Position in Global Commercial Displays Market for 17th Consecutive Year
Samsung Electronics has solidified its dominance in the global commercial displays market, retaining the No. 1 position for an impressive 17th consecutive year in 2025, according to a new report from research firm Omdia. The South Korean tech giant captured a 35.2% market share by unit sales, excluding consumer TVs, while achieving a record high in annual shipments by delivering more than 2.5 million units worldwide.

This milestone underscores Samsung’s long-standing leadership in the B2B sector, which it first claimed in 2009.The company’s success stems from its strategic emphasis on innovative, next-generation signage solutions that integrate cutting-edge display hardware with cloud-based and AI-powered software.
These technologies cater to diverse business environments, including retail, corporate offices, education, and hospitality.Among the standout innovations in Samsung’s 2025 portfolio is the Samsung Spatial Signage, a slim-profile (52mm) glasses-free 3D display capable of rendering striking multidimensional content. The product earned a CES 2026 Innovation Award in the Enterprise Technology category and an iF Design Award 2026, highlighting its breakthrough design and immersive capabilities. Samsung plans to expand the lineup with additional sizes in the coming months. Another eco-focused advancement is the Color E-Paper series, which offers ultra-low power consumption as a sustainable alternative to traditional paper posters. The 13-inch model features a housing made of 45% recycled plastic and 10% bio-resin derived from phytoplankton, reducing carbon emissions by more than 40% compared to conventional petroleum-based materials during production.Samsung intends to broaden the application of this environmentally friendly material across its E-Paper offerings.
The company also continues to push boundaries with extra-large format displays suited for high-impact installations, including the 105-inch QPDX-5K, 115-inch QHFX models, and an upcoming 130-inch Micro RGB signage (QPHX). Complementing its hardware lineup, Samsung’s software ecosystem—such as the Samsung VXT platform for remote management and content operations, along with the new AI Studio app that generates signage-ready videos from a single product image—enables seamless, integrated experiences for customers.Hyoung Jae Kim, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, attributed the achievement to close collaboration with B2B partners. “Seventeen years at the top is the result of listening to our customers and evolving with them,” he said. “As businesses change, they need reliable, easy-to-manage technology ready for the future. We’ll keep investing in displays and solutions that drive efficiency and create superior experiences.”The announcement, released on March 19, 2026, reinforces Samsung’s commitment to innovation in the commercial display space amid growing demand for smart, sustainable, and immersive digital signage worldwide.
