NotebookLM, now Gemini Notebook, is one of the most useful tools for research today. I like using it to make podcasts based on content (I’ve used it to scan the entire ssaltw.blogspot.com website, for instance) and import books in. In any case, it’s one of the best tools I like to use today. However, many people want to import an entire YouTube channel into it, which can be challenging. Unfortunately, it only lets you put links in and not playlists. I have over 200 episodes on my podcast Pulse: The Heartbeat of America, which is a tech, culture, and interview podcast. Of course I will not manually import 200 links into NotebookLM one by one. So I found a workaround. Granted, if you have a podcast or playlist, you can import it into NotebookLM in some simple steps.

1st, go to the playlist and copy the link, then go to https://youtube-extractor-seven.vercel.app/ and paste your playlist link. Here I will be using the link to my playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIXRIRjAkvE&list=PLHleQJO6zZ2uhWd5VVAlxO8ioMLJIWeJy&pp=sAgC which you get from clicking on a playlist on the touchpagdwith two fingers and clicking the pop up copy link. You cannot use the podcast link on the podcast tab, unfortunately. Next, click Extract and wait a few seconds, then click the button that says Copy All Links.
Then go into NotebookLM and click Create a New Notebook and paste the links where it says Websites. Now free plan users get 50 links in a notebook, and on my plan I get about 100 links, so I get about half the podcast imported in. Now you can chat with the notebook and search for quotes using natural text. Here in the prompt I use Gemini Notebook to find my “insane quotes,” and then you can click the number at the top to show the video it’s in.

If you can, then go to the video, scroll down to the transcript, and search the transcript yourself to verify and clip the video. God bless and Tech Talk To You Later.
