Apple has announced the new iPhone lineup including the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first folding phone that is supposed to fold. Take a watch.

In the video, you can see the basic specs of the device, but the glaze Apple is getting is insane. All the journalists are finally figuring out that they would want a folding phone, acting like this hasn’t existed for years. Next week I will do a comparison of the Duo vs the Z Fold 8 and 8 Ultra (they are around the same price), but today we will look at the iPhone 17 Pro vs the 18 Pro (there are no regular 18s out yet).

The 18 Pro harkens back to the Galaxy S9 with a variable aperture on the camera, meaning the camera can change to let in more or less light, continuing the trend of Apple adding more hardware features to its devices rather than removing them — first with the Action Button, the under-display camera, and now this, which could be good for Samsung as it will incentivize them to do the same (bringing back features that they already had). Don’t forget that Android had the 1st version of NameDrop. Of course, you have a faster A20 chip with more AI cores, and I hope to test out some of the new AI features in store. Unfortunately, I can’t test out the camera as it’s locked down in a well-lit store.

Apple claims the battery is better, though I will wait for tests on that. As for a feature I do like, you can get a 50% charge in 15 minutes, per Apple. So essentially it’s the same phone as the iPhone 17 with some slightly new features, though some of them have yet to be tested, so I cannot recommend one over the other at this time. God bless and Tech Talk To You Later!!!
